On tour from Olympia-goddamn-Washington… FAMILY STONED & PITTED YOUTH

I could tell you about this Thursday night’s show at The Tribe - (FAMILY STONED & PITTED YOUTH w/ Nihlism, Dogbreth, Pigeon Eggmen) - but won’t have to because the crowd has worked itself into such a Facebook Frenzy that the rest of this story pretty much writes itself too…

“Nihilism is gonna be so loud in that basement I’m stoked!” - Danny Pupillo

“Invite your goddamn friends.” - The Tribe

“I did! Who is Dogbreth? What do they sound like?” - Nicholas Nappa

“Phx poppunk.” - The Tribe

“The game is in double OT, 5 seconds left on the clock, Your team is down by 2. Then suddenly you’re open, you get ready to take a 3-pointer that would win the game, the stadium turns completely silent. And then you stop yourself. You realize that the crowd is gone. The bleachers are completely empty. You turn around and see that your teammates have also vanished. You’re the only person left in the entire stadium. You push the hoop over, it’s made of cardboard. You’re scared now. Then you see Jason Richard Kron across the court, naked. He’s seemingly hairless and in a daze. He sort of limps over to you as if something is weighing down is left side. He hands you a flier for THE FAMILY STONED (WA) & PITTED YOUTH (WA) w/ NIHILISM, DOGBRETH @ Tribe. You ask him where everyone went, where he came from, and where he got the flier. He doesn’t answer any of your questions…” -Tristan Jemsek

“Cum tomorrow.” - The Tribe

I’ll be the first to admit I’ve never forgiven GG Allin for overdosing before he could fulfill his promise to kill himself on stage. Not that I’d hold that against his former band, The Murder Junkies, now on tour in support of its 2011 release Road Killer.

After spending a chunk of the 1990s as a Allin tribute act of sorts, Murder Junkies (featuring original members Merle Allin and Dino Saches) reformed in recent years with renewed enthusiasm, completing several tours - including a stint as opening act for Hank Williams III - and releasing its first full-length in well over a decade.

And while the decision to call themselves G.G. Allin’s Murder Junkies this tour go-around may be debated in some circles - (Misguided sentimentality? Crass commercialism? Who gives a shit?) - there’s no denying these well-worn punks are staying true to the late GG’s credo: “you don’t get what you expect - you get what you deserve.”

- Pete Petrisko

The Murder Junkies 20th Anniversary Tour - with locals Christfucker, Roughin It, Mongoloids, and Awful Noise.

Here’s some hump day happiness to help you make it through this week alive.

Your subtle revenge at work today is watching this punk rock anthem, by the lads of Mighty Boosh, on company time.

Which brings us to the next point… The lyrical content in this live performance clip is NSFW, so you may want to wear headphones while exacting your subtle revenge, unless you work where it’s still acceptable to play humorous punk rock anthems about repeated acts of defecation loudly.
